Choose from classic orange pumpkins to quirky shapes, colours and sizes, and take home farm-fresh seasonal veg too. With a new undercover carving barn, Pumpkin Village, autumnal photo opportunities and the Pumpkin Café on site, it’s a proper countryside autumn day out for the whole family.
Celebrating 10 years of pumpkin growing
What started with just a few acres has grown into one of the Midlands’ best-loved autumn days out. This year we’re marking the occasion with a fresh new-look experience — more relaxed, more autumnal and more connected to the farm than ever.
Whether you’re coming from Staffordshire, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Telford, Stoke-on-Trent or beyond, we’d love to welcome you down to the farm.

Pick from the patch
Head out into the field and choose your perfect pumpkin — from classic orange to quirky shapes and colours. Wheelbarrows provided.
Farm-fresh veg
Pick seasonal vegetables grown right here on the farm — potatoes, beetroot, carrots and parsnips — to take home and cook.
Undercover carving barn
Get creative on the farm and leave the kitchen table chaos at home. Scoop, carve and admire your masterpiece before heading off.
Pumpkin Village
Explore seasonal displays, autumnal photo opportunities and wholesome pumpkin-themed fun and games around the farm.
Pumpkin Café
Warm up after your time in the patch with hot drinks, seasonal snacks and tasty treats. S’mores toasting also available!
No wellies? No problem
New for 2026 — choose pumpkins and veg from indoors rather than heading out into the field. Still farm-fresh, a little less muddy.

Something a little different after sunset. Join us from 5pm on selected Friday evenings for a whole new way to experience the pumpkin patch — after dark.

Visiting during half term? From Saturday 24 – Saturday 31 October, we’ll be adding extra spooky seasonal fun to the PYO Pumpkins experience — plenty of Halloween atmosphere and family-friendly activities, without anything too scary for younger visitors.

Lower Drayton Farm is in Penkridge, near Stafford — just one mile from Junction 13 of the M6. We’re easy to reach from Stafford, Cannock, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Telford, Lichfield, Rugeley, Shrewsbury and across the wider West Midlands.

PYO Pumpkins is a separate seasonal event and does not include entry to PLAY@ Lower Drayton Farm. If you’d like to make a full day of your visit, ask our team on arrival about upgrading to PLAY@, subject to availability.

No, car parking is free and on a weatherproof hardstanding surface.
No. PYO Pumpkins is a standalone event – however, you can purchase tickets to visit PLAY@ Lower Drayton Farm, with its indoor and outdoor play areas, farm trailer ride (weather dependent), friendly animals, maize trail and more separately.
