Celebrate World Book Day with us during next week’s Home Ed session… Our Monday 4th March Home Ed session will see learners treated to a sneak preview of Farmer Lauren’s new children’s story set at Lower Drayton Farm! They’ll be encouraged to dress up as their favourite book characters for the session and will head into the animal zone to meet the animals from the story!
Session runs 11am – 1pm with a break for lunch – why not join us from 10.30am for ‘brew Monday’ – let the kids play and enjoy a cuppa with some other Home Ed grown-ups!
Bet a few of you mums out there can relate to this ewe’s sleeping arrangements 😂
As it’s a term time Thursday we’re closed this morning, but our lovely lambs (and their mums) are ready to meet you from Friday through till Monday in our lambing barn.
Don’t forget our Lambs & Ewe event (including fun sheep-y film and helping Farmer Ray find his lost flock) is all part of your PLAY@ family day out through till 7 April, alongside indoor & outdoor adventure and our large & small animal zones.

We have the best ‘Farm-ily’, even if we say so ourselves!
Members Rosie and her family were supposed to visit Play@ this weekend. Unfortunately Rosie was not very well and was taken to hospital. On Sunday morning, while in hospital, she watched Farmer Richard’s Live video with the Highland cows 🐂.
It gave her the inspiration to paint 🎨 this wonderful picture of the cows in the hospital Play room.
We are glad to hear Rosie has since been discharged from hospital and we can’t wait to see her and her family at the farm soon. 😊
Join us to celebrate World Book Day on Friday 8th March – Farmer Lauren will be doing regular ‘story corner’ readings and kids are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book characters (plus all the usual PLAY@ fun!
